Investigations
The Lamar Police Department Investigations unit, currently consists of Sergeant and Detective. The detectives investigate all felony crimes against persons and some felony property crimes. The investigators also handle crime scene processing, evidence collection and evidence processing and narcotics investigations.

On April 2nd 2012 a man was the victim of an armed robbery and assault in the 100 blk of N. 10th St. The victim reported being assaulted by two unknown subjects by the use of a weapon.
